The ABCs — Admit, Believe, and Call/Confess — provide a simple way to explain the heart of the gospel response. We need salvation because of sin. Jesus made salvation possible through His death, burial, and resurrection. We respond by admitting our need, believing in Jesus Christ, and calling on and confessing Him as Lord.
But the Christian life does not stop there. A faithful biblical response includes hearing the Word of God, believing the gospel, repenting of sin, confessing Christ, being baptized, and continuing in faithful obedience. We encourage every person to call on Jesus now, then take the next steps of baptism, church fellowship, Scripture, prayer, and faithful living.
The ABCs of Salvation framework has been taught and shared widely across Christian ministry as a simple, scripture-based way to present the gospel clearly to anyone who is ready to hear it.
